Wow, I have not blogged in some time. Things have been crazy, people. Just crazy. Certifiably crazy, but that’s a story for another time. I must first apologize to Matt for letting down SoD on the comic front. I am slowly getting back into it, and you can stay tuned for more adventures of the intern. The jokes may write themselves, but the drawings certainly do not. I should reward myself with beer for working on website stuff. What could possibly go wrong with that plan?
Ok, moving on. My new passion (everyday I am in love with something else and want to devote all my energy to our space novel or video game or rock opera) is cute food. SoD fans have likely heard of the genius that is icanhascheezburger.com. Freakin’ hilarious. Awile ago, I linked to www.epicute.com and since that glorious day, I have been hooked.
Cute food is a fabulous idea. It combines two things I adore! Food, which is nomtastic, and cuteness, which is understandable by my female brain. You may forget sometimes, that I AM A GIRL. Yes, I play World of Warcraft, and yes, I like horror films and exploding people in my movies, and I will even admit to a strange desire to decide (upon meeting people) whether or not I could take them in a fight. Just in case. Someday, if my friends become zombies, I will be well prepared.
Back to epicute. Whoever you are, John, the writer for the website, I would like to buy you an adorably tiny stein of your favorite ale. You rock my socks. Witty commentary and intense cuteness analysis. Love it! The squeescan almost made me pee my pants. And the debate rages on, what is cute food? Check out the website and decide for yourself! It’s more than just cupcakes and cookies (and wouldn’t that be enough, contented sigh). J’adore the bento boxes with little piggies. Heart. 
In an effort to contribute to the war for cuteness, I’m doing my part by baking up a storm. Or, so far, a batch of chocolate chip cookies. It’s more of a cold front at this point. But it’s building to a Treatnado or a Nomphoon. You know what, I’ll work on the names. Epicute is also about photography, which I suck at, so Matt is going to take the photo for me. And do the rest of the work to post this blog and the cookie cuteness. This deal is getting better all the time! Plus, I ate cookie dough all night yesterday. NOM
If it works out, I will continue to post the results of my epicute adventures for you. Matt is already running with the idea of food shaped like famous movie scenes...
